Watch out for their valet service! Here is what they did to us at a hotel down the street: While we were staying at the Casablanca in Miami Beach in October 2020, the valet staff caused a large scratch on our rental car while it was under their supervision in the valet lot. We filled out a claim, but so far they have been unresponsive to the frequent requests for payment on the claim by Hertz. I find this to be very negligent and unprofessional since the damages are 100% their fault. We were satisfied with the amenities at the Casablanca, and the unit was of great value. But when we factor in a $600 claim that we may have to pay due to the valet's negligence, the value disappears instantly. We will not be returning to the Casablanca or any facility that uses Elite Parking Valet services, unless they make this right.
This place is a scam. You will book online for the South Seas Hotel but they will put you in a separate building next door called the Richmond which is a far worse hotel. They claim it’s the same hotel but in all practical aspects it is different. The rooms are bare. The elevator breaks down. You share a door with another room and can hear everything. The accommodations weren’t god awful and it was relatively clean so I’ll give it two stars instead of one. What a shameful business practice to dupe customers like that. Avoid!
One of the worst hotels you could stay in Miami, the rooms are extremely small and smelly the air conditioning wasn't working I called the room service several times and they sent an amateur boy to check it out to say it's working fine. The bed was not clean and the pellow had stains on. I'm wondering how ist still operating until today. Wouldn't recommend this to any one despite it's good price compared to its location
It is nice and stayed for a day. Staffs are cooperative and friendly. Room is okay, but bath room is not as per expectation. However it is manageable. For Miami Beach it is a good location. There is a restaurant and light food is available and works between 7 AM to 6 PM only.
SAVE YOUR MONEY A plus is that this place is right on the beach and has a pool. My room was old and in need of a desperate cleaning and a facelift. Everything was FILTHY, the floor looked line it had no been vacuumed, the tub was dirty and the tile in it was missing a piece. The shower rod had gunk on it. The ice machine was broken, I was then told to go to the hotel next door that’s attached and of course that ice machine was broken as well. You can tell attention to detail is lacking or management simply does not care and they just want your money. The front desk people were pleasant to talk to but for the most part there are far more complaints than compliments. More like 1.5 out 5 but take the 2 stars at this point.
